Dear Indranath Sengupta,

While the solubility of Propylene Glycol (solubility parameter=30.7) in HDPE is even lower than Isopropyl Alcohol (solubility parameter =23.5), it is not expected that the High Density Poly Ethylene (solubility parameter = 16.4) swells during the diffusion process. So, it is a normal Fickian diffusion process (a constant diffusion coefficient).

Kind Regards,

: Dear Forum,
: I need to to know, how does Propylene Glycol diffuse
: through 0.5 mm wall thickness HDPE moulded container.
