Metallic coating/layer on structural Epoxy Resin

Dear forum,

In the framework of the design of a new equipment in the oil industry, we want to apply a metallic coating on a derakane epoxy (metal-polymer composite/ multilayer material). Reason is that we want to create an additional diffusion resistance layer against gas diffusion at high pressures (> 50 bar system pressure). Does someone have experience with the coating of such a metallic barrier layer on a structural resins like the derakane types, in an industrial application? Is there any insight in the extension of service life time of such a structure?

Kind Regards,
Rodney Bennet
