Dear Markus Haager,
I put the answers to your questions in the respective order. Here it goes:
-We do have the diffusion coefficients in our library of the surfactants
that you described
in Poly Ethylene.
-In case of occurrence of stress cracking by e.g. Igepal, the initial
diffusion rate will increase,
but for the order of magnitude some more experimental data and simulations are required.
-We assume that the rate in oriented polyethylene PE is lower if the diffusion direction is
perpendicular to the orientation.
Regards,
: Does anybody know where I can find diffusion coefficients for Arkopal or
Igepal (or other types of surfactants) into PE?
: I am investigation environmental stress cracking and I try to shed some light on how surfactants accelerate crack growth in PE. As a result I have some further questions:
: If stress is applied to PE, will the rate of Diffusion increase?
: Is the rate of diffusion in orientated PE smaller than in isotropic PE?
: Any help would be appreciated!
: Regards
: Markus
